Welcome to Some Nuance Please by Scarlett N. Phoenix.

I am a woman in my 30s who detransitioned at the end of 2020.

Before that, I had identified as transgender for ten years. I identified as a trans man and took testosterone for five years. I stopped taking hormones in 2016, but continued to identify as nonbinary for another five years afterward. Throughout the process, I also had a double mastectomy and a partial hysterectomy, which are decisions I now deeply regret having made.

I blog as a way of processing my thoughts and feelings, both about gender and about the medical trauma that I experienced as a result.

Feel free to subscribe to keep up with my posts.
